The Locals had a great show at The Black Sparrow with The Vicious Guns and Why I like Robbins (before I went to this show I did not like robbins all that much, always flying over head and pooping on things, but now, I like them, and you’ll just have to figure out why for yourselves )

I learned a lot on Friday night. I learned bar sign language. I faced my fear of scary clowns (and lost) and I swing wildly from a chandelier made of branches and christmas lights.
I also learned that Verona Red is a super good band. My little brain is exhausted from all the knowledge that has been dropped upon it.

I am now stalking the bass players from Glittermouse. I got my picture taken with the other members of Glittermouse at their show with The Locals and for some reason those bass players escaped the grips of Danger Boy’s all-seeing camera. I will find you Glitterbasses! I will find you!!!

The Elbo Room (Chicago) 8/28/09

What can I say about The Locals’ show @ The Elbo Room? I stuck my whole head in a big ol pint of Shiner Bock. I met some fun new fun bags. I met a gnome who is apparently a huge hockey fan. It was spectacular. If you havent ever had your whole head in a pint of Shiner Bock, I do recommend you try it. Well only if your head is less that 3 inches wide, and also made of plastic. But if it is,for sure try it at least once.
